Alteration of Barbie Dolls
Every year, November would not complete without a rash of toy stories. Next year, the all new, thick waisted, small breasted Barbie is going to be released. Though the transformation was done, the bulk trade of old style wispy waisted Barbies will continue.
The nine-inch barbie dolls are only part of the pictures. The long standing success of Barbie is because of the fact that, unlike the past, children’s toys are more gender specific. If it was a situation to present a toy a 6 years child it is better to give a bag of sweets to them, rather than a toy.
The sexual type casting of toys is very universal nowadays. The making of specific gender of toys was seen even from a pencil to a tricycle. During the period of sixties and seventies there is a trend of producing unisexual play things. But today the boy's toys have been progressed to laser sighted rifles, cow boy outfits, where as Barbie has slid down to dolly equivalent of white slavery.
Earlier a child used to play with her mom by helping her in kitchen and with her dad
by watering the car.But today boys are very much exited to have a train set where as girls to have a doll.
Barbie has been transformed into materialistic Trollope. The Barbie people insist that her career was to travel and meet the people. But today the ward robes tell that Barbie was transformed to a Trollope. It is viewed that whether it requires specific gender of toys. The attraction of Barbie had descended from the busy Girl to Rainbow dream slag. To exemplify this, we find magazines advertising and promising women that they would make them prettier, slimmer, sexier and Barbie.
